Big Fish Worry‑Free Wi‑Fi (WFW) is a managed Wi‑Fi service where Big Fish provides and operates the network infrastructure used within a client environment.
Under this model, sometimes called Network as a Service (NaaS), the network, including Wi-Fi is delivered as an ongoing service rather than something the client must design, purchase, and maintain independently.
How the Service Works
With Worry‑Free Wi‑Fi, Big Fish is responsible for the internal network components, including:
- Routers and gateways
- Network switches
- Wireless access points
- Supporting equipment (such as patch cables and UPS units)
- Configuration and ongoing management
These components are installed, configured, and maintained by Big Fish as part of a monthly service.
The client remains responsible for providing an Internet connection through their preferred Internet Service Provider (ISP). WFW operates on top of that connection.
What is Included
The service typically includes:
- Initial network design and deployment
- Centralized configuration management
- Monitoring of network health and performance
- Firmware updates and security patching
- Troubleshooting and issue resolution
- Ongoing adjustments to maintain performance and reliability
All network equipment used for the service is owned and maintained by Big Fish for the duration of the agreement.
What is Not Included
Worry‑Free Wi‑Fi does not replace the need for an Internet service provider. Clients are responsible for:
- Selecting and maintaining ISP service
- Coordinating ISP installations or repairs
Big Fish can assist with coordination when needed, but ISP service itself is external to WFW.
When This Service Is Used
Worry‑Free Wi‑Fi is typically used in environments where:
- The client prefers not to own or manage network hardware
- Consistent performance and uptime are important
- There is limited internal IT capacity for network administration
- Multiple locations or growing environments need to be supported
Relationship to Other Big Fish Services
Worry‑Free Wi‑Fi is one of several ways Big Fish can support client networks. It is specifically focused on delivering and managing wireless and local network infrastructure as an ongoing service.
Additional services (such as security, user support, or broader IT management) may be provided separately depending on the client’s needs.
In Summary
Worry‑Free Wi‑Fi is a service model where:
- Big Fish provides and operates the network hardware
- The client provides the Internet connection
- Ongoing management and maintenance are included
This approach shifts responsibility for the internal network from the client to Big Fish.
